Local councils supporting their communities
The National Association of Local Councils has produced a booklet of Coronavirus case studies designed to be used by (Parish and Town) Councils as an example of the vital work that is being carried out by the sector in helping their communities during the coronavirus outbreak. Hennock Parish Council's Community Support Plan appears as an example of best practice and demonstrate actions that benefit those at high risk, the vulnerable and residents in general:
Hennock Parish Council has helped organise, alongside the local shop, for customers that are vulnerable or self-isolating to order and pay for goods over the phone. The Council is coordinating volunteers to deliver groceries and prescriptions to the doorstep of service users.
