The Big Butterfly Count

The Big Butterfly Count run by Butterfly Conservation, is currently taking place. This is an annual event that helps monitor the status of different Butterfly species in the UK and we thought it would be an ideal thing for the first part of the school holidays as it would get people out and involved with local nature.   https://butterfly-conservation.org/

The Devon Carbon Plan

This is the agreed roadmap of how Devon will reach net zero emissions by 2050 at the latest https://devonclimateemergency.org.uk/devon-carbon-plan/ .

This has been agreed by all local Councils, District and above and Dartmoor National Park.

The Garden Bird Watch

The Garden Bird Watch allows people to record the birds and other wildlife they see in their garden for free and contribute to research that is taking place over the health and density of the biodiversity in their garden. The data will all feed into reports used nationally and ultimately into research by the British Trust for Ornithology about this. It's also fun!
